GET TO KNOW ME
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and spent summers in Mexico. I began my career working with children and families in 1988 as a preschool teacher with a minor in Child Development. I moved to Bend OR in 1991 where I grew my career and developed my skills for over 27 years. Growing with the the community in Bend, I was immersed in working with diverse family systems and have a passion for helping families identify their strengths and develop skills in becoming a healthier family unit. Since then, I’ve relocated to Arizona and have developed a large and loyal client base who have come to depend on my expert services. I believe in putting my clients first and provide exceptional customer service.
I am proud of my Mexican heritage and have worked and supported Hispanic communities and families throughout my career. I am immersed with the Hispanic culture and understand Hispanic family systems. I also support my clients who are struggling with the current difficult immigration process.
I have over 30 years of experience working with children, families and individuals. I enjoy working with all ages and stages of life, from 0-adults and have vast experience in working with a variety of family system issues, personal trauma and parental support and education.
I value building rapport and trust in the client-therapist relationship and working with my clients to achieve their desired goals in their therapeutic journey. My experience includes working with attachment issues, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, depression, OCD, family system issues (including grandparents raising grandchildren), substance use disorder, behavior management, trauma, and domestic violence issues. I am trained in EMDR and use a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, and focus on strength-based perspective. My hope is for your therapeutic journey to be a positive experience where you can grow and learn how to love and be the best version of yourself. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
